The National Electrical Code (NEC) is one of many codes and standards published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). However, as is the case with many regulatory publications, it is often difficult to read and understand. This 1-hour interactive online course is tremendously valuable for all those who would like to sort through the voluminous code regulations of the NEC and find and understand their desired information as quickly and easily as possible. This particular course explores Article 424 and Article 440 of the NEC. It provides thorough, easy to understand explanations of the codes that pertain to Fixed Electrical Space Heating Equipment and Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Equipment.
Students should be aware that this course is a guide to the NEC, and not the NEC itself. It is intended to help you better understand the technical and often confusing code regulations of the NEC. Throughout the course, paragraphs, explanations and descriptions refer to tables, sections and articles of the NEC that are not included. Students are advised to have their own copy of the NEC available for reference while taking this course.
The course includes a multiple-choice test at the end. You must have Flash Player Version 7 or higher to view some parts of this course. We also recommend you view this course in Internet Explorer.
